Bridge car pool test continues on Bay Bridge
SAN FRANCISCO AP The tall reed car pool program on the Oakland San Francisco Bay Bridge will be continued as a test rather than permanent policy. Nat Marks aide information officer says the plan allows toll free lanes for vehicles with three or more people during morning rush hours while officials evaluate outcomes and future direction. Traffic during toll free hours showed little change and AC Transit reported no reduction in bus ridership since December.
