Ferguson seeks life term to stay in prison for safety
Robbie Ferguson requests Governor Ray grant him a life term in the Iowa State Penitentiary so he may remain in a secure setting. Ray’s office says the governor cannot extend sentences. Ferguson proposes transfer to Mount Pleasant Mental Health Institute for structured living before reentry. He has 18 prior convictions including robbery and auto theft.
