Nathan Hare former San Francisco State College teacher and former head of the Black Studies Department was jailed for about five hours after missing a court appearance on a concealed weapons charge. He forfeited $300 bail and was released on his own recognizance. He claimed confusion about court location and was detained after a 2 p.m. session. A loaded revolver was found in his car glove compartment by two highway patrolmen.
