Steele Trial Opens and Other Court Action Reported

Two Berkeley youths were injured early this morning when a convertibile rolled over on Highway 50 east of Flyer Row. Frank E. West, 22, driver, was unconscious and severely injured after his car crossed the median and overturned twice. Neal Gobar, 21, a passenger, was reported in good condition. West was taken to St. Paul’s Hospital and Highland Hospital in Oakland, while patrols stated the driver lost control on a turn and struck the dividers. The crash occurred at 12:07 am.

Attempted suicide by Marine private near Castro Valley
