The British Columbia legislature notes dramatic gains in farming and dairy sectors over five years. Fruit up 137 percent from 1.8 million to 3.76 million. dairy up 184 percent. poultry 114 percent. potatoes 58 percent. eggs value climbs to 2.0 million.
The Controller-General’s report tabled in the Legislature shows a surplus of 1 609 202 for six months ending September 80 1923 as revenue of 10 255 986 and expenditures of 8 646 724. The year ends March 1 1924 with estimated revenue of 18 769 000 and expenditure of 20 097 000. six months’ actuals are half the estimate.
Cumberland versus Ladysmith to meet in the Black Man Ker Cup semi final with Northfield facing Davenports in the other.
