Kiwanis Club Holds Cromwell Dinner Meeting

Creston Kiwanis members, their families and friends met in Cromwell for a special dinner prepared by Congregational church women. About fifty attended the 7 PM event at the community hall replacing the usual Tuesday dinner at the fovena hotel. Miss Virginia Jones and Miss Pauline Tlumlburt provided readings, Clyde DeLay gave a short talk about a trip to northern Minnesota, the Dakotas and northern Iowa.

Car Stolen Here Found Near Leon

A light coupe owned by Rolla Boyce was stolen Monday night from McKinley park during the dance and recovered today near Leon. The car was found at the roadside overturned with tires stripped. Union county officers were not notified.

Rolla M Boyce captures the Creston golf championship at Crestmoor Golf Club by defeating Arthur Glick 5 and 4 in the 6 hole final.
