Army flight to attack Creston Fourth of July in mock battle
Lieutenant Isaiah Davies will lead an army air display over Creston as part of the July 4 celebration. Three or four planes from Kansas City base are due between 9 and 10 am, landing near Graceland cemetery for refueling before an afternoon combat exhibition. The $20,000 O-2 ship will headline, with two PT cargo planes joining the stunt. The aviators will stay at the Iowana hotel during the festivities.

Bandit Escapes With Shull Cash
A masked armed bandit robbed Creston resident Marshall Shull of 1300 to 1400 dollars yesterday fore noon. Shull provided a clear description, but no arrest or trace exists. One of six cars stolen Tuesday night with a washing machine in tow remains unrecovered. The owner, L M Cearver of Clearfield, reported the other five cars abandoned on side streets. Returns in minor state office races were too meager to indicate results.
