Des Moines February 14 Govern or Hammill transmitted his address to the legislature urging a state road plan centered in a highway commission. He backs a three cent gas tax and a common state road fund with federal aid and license revenue to fund paving of 6,660 miles of primary roads in 14 years without bonds. He opposes an $85 million highway bond issue. House committee members doubt the tax rate and delay final framing until next week.

Columbus Ohio February 14 Hal Donahhey 18 son of Governor Vic Donahey was sentenced to three days in jail for violation of automobile traffic laws.
