Miss Mary Dore died this morning at 12 15 at her home 231 South Chestnut street after a lingering illness. Born in Kansas City Missouri in 1874 she came to Creston about a year old and lived here since. She graduated with the class of 1894 and taught in public schools for many years. Survived by sisters Catherine Johanna at home and Mrs Agnes Mack of Omaha. Funeral Wednesday at 9 AM at St Malachys Church with burial in Calvary Cemetery. Family requests no flowers.

Kilgore Dies After Illness at Cromwell Home
Hibert Kilgore, 68, died at 2 15 Sunday afternoon at the Cromwell home of John Kilgore after a ten day illness. He lived on a farm west of Cromwell, but for seven years resided in Cromwell. Funeral services will be held at the home Tuesday at 2 o'clock, with Rev. Owen Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in Cromwell cemetery.

Young Mate Returns Home With Mother
Leonard Burke a deaf and mute Mason City resident was brought to Creston by farmers north of the city late Friday night and returned home Sunday with his mother. The farmers said he acted queerly and turned him over to Sheriff Fred Collings who notified his parents. The mother said he could hear only a little and had never learned to talk due to illness in infancy. He had run away from Mason City headed toward Corning where he once visited his grandfather. The relative is now dead and it is believed the young mute did not know.
