Sunday morning Rev. Thos Tyack D D moderator of New Jersey Synod will preach in exchange with Rev J E Curry who will preach at Hightstown. Sunday evening S P Y Surend rapath Arya will speak at the Endeavor service and also to the gathering after.
Rev Frederick Kullmer of Princeton Seminary will preach at Second Church next Sunday morning. Last Sunday Rev J B Edgar of Jamestown delivered a forcible sermon that impressed the whole congregation with earnest words.
Bishop-elect Paul Matthews of the Episcopal Cathedral of Our Merciful Saviour Faribault Minnesota informs Rev Charles M Perkins Vineland chairman of the diocesan notification committee that he will become bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of New Jersey.
Mrs Alvah Forman gave an all day party at her Bayonne home last Friday for the bridge club. Attendees included Mrs Laird Mrs Winter Mrs Seymore Mrs Panton Mrs Votel Mrs Potter Mrs Deidrich and Mrs Forman. Bridge games and prizes of potted ferns and Australian pines followed by a formal dinner.

Mrs. Ella 8. Stults president of the Monmouth Presbyterial Society of Foreign Mission will attend the executive board meeting at Lakewood tonight and tomorrow. The trip aims to discuss society affairs and missions work.
Mr and Mrs Walter McDougall who have lived on the Samuel Perrine farm for about ten years will likely move to the city in the near future. The notice notes a relocation to urban life.
R L McDowell reports the death on Wednesday of his valuable English setter. The dog was prized for his kind and obedient nature and had been ill and under treatment for several days.
The Samuel Perrine farm sold Wednesday through W. H. Johnson to Bayard Updyke of Princeton. Updyke is a young married man and brother to Mrs. Gideon Applegate. The price paid was 14360 dollars.
The Cranbury Sunday schools held their anniversary at the Second church last Sunday. The church was crowded as the audience praised the organist choir and soprano soloists Miss Edna Duncan and Miss Annabel Hennessey from Trenton who sang I Heard the Voice of Jesus and Face to Face. Rev W A Stanton delivered a notable address on The Problems of Youth and inspired all present. Rev J W Van Dyke read scripture and Rev Z W Wells presided and offered prayer.
William Richard discovered the submerged body of John Brown twenty in Jamesburg behind the pumping station. Brown, a former Water Company employee, appeared to have fallen into the shallow rear stream while walking near the plant.
East Windsor and West Windsor residents welcome road work on the Windsor to Hightstown highway. The stretch sees heavy truck traffic from New York Philadelphia and Newark and locals say wear is due to years without proper maintenance. The Board of Freeholders via the road committee and supervisor will oversee repairs at an estimated cost around 6000 dollars.
A New York painter Joseph Slobudski, 52, drowns when a car driven by his son Victor veers off a bridge over South River creek. The elder was found in a whirlpool forty feet from the car. The community mourns the death of Harry Prall who lived with Mrs. Vincent Hughes and served as her assistant for 16 years. He died Thursday afternoon after a fall from a pear tree. funeral arrangements have not yet been announced.
Fire caused by a matches box in a threshing machine on E. B. Chamberlain’s Robbinsville farm destroyed a hay press filled with crops, three freight cars with grain, and a lumber shed. Water scarcity worsened the blaze. responses by Hightstown chemical engine and local bucket brigades limited further damage to the Henrickson and Dilatush fertilizer plant stock valued at about 75,000 dollars.
