The First Presbyterian Church offers a morning service with Pastor Rev J E Curry preaching on Illustrations of Answered Prayer. The message centers on examples of answered prayers and faith.

The annual Sunday School anniversary of all churches is at First Presbyterian Church Sunday afternoon October 17 3 00 P M. Rev Wallace MacMullen D D T D will deliver the address No evening service.
On October 8 Mr. and Mrs. John Perrine joined the First church by letter from Bayonne Presbyterian. October 10 Mr. and Mrs. Ernest A. Pullen joined the Second church by letter from Spotswood Reformed and Mrs. Charles Farr by letter from Cranbury First. The Y P C A of the Second church plans a chapel meeting next Sunday evening led by Miss Della Bergen with topic Be a Leader Be a Follower.
After a Sunday morning sermon on the Eldership by Rev Warren Elsing the elders elect Charles P Emmons E Bar clay Lemuel Stults John Major and John Bergen were installed into the office of elder at the Second church.
A special meeting is called for tonight at 8.45 in the Public Library. All members are expected. A Reading Circle will meet next Wednesday with Mrs. M. E. Bergen to discuss Poland past and present. Committee: Mrs. Spaulding and Mrs. Brown.
Invitations issued for the wedding of Asa Thomas Davison of Cranbury to Verna Dean May Davis of Burlington. Frank R. Adams announces the marriage of their daughter Gladys Mather to Clifford Stanley Danser at First Presbyterian Church Dutch Neck on October 27 at 3:30 PM. A variety shower for Davis preceded the wedding at her Burlington home amid Dayton Anniversary program and Cranbury orchestra.
Mr and Mrs I M Cubberly observed their fortieth anniversary at home on Wednesday Their wedding attendants Mr and Mrs Randolph Chamberlin were guests at the celebration.
The Presbyterian Synod of New Jersey will convene at Olivet church in Atlantic City for three days next week. The opening session Monday afternoon features Rev. Thomas Tyack delivering the annual sermon as moderator. Mr and Mrs G A Bennett stay in Washington County New York to buy scarce seed potatoes, the crop half complete but stock sound and fair in size.
A Sunday afternoon observance at the First Presbyterian church features a Methodist School direction with Rev Wallace MacMullen D D T D as speaker formerly of Madigan Ave church New York. A large choir and orchestra will perform with Misa Grace Dey of Dayton delivering a vocal solo.
The Light Bearers of Second church dressed 25 dolls and sent them to Miss Eliza beth Faries at True Light Seminary in Canton China. The dolls wore colors of crepe de chine silk and lace and carried cards with the giver’s name. They began their mission on October 9th, with Miss Faries the missionary supported by the Mission Bands and Junior C. E. Societies.
The Heavens Sisters of New York will perform Monday evening October 25 in the First Presbyterian chapel as the first act of the Cranbury Annual Star Course. The Daily Herald lauds their preludes and variety, noting Miss Winifred for cornet mandolin and reading, and praising the concert company for artistic rendering and charm.
Brooklyn based Heavens Sisters Concert Co has performed for the Navy Y M C A at the Marine Barracks and on multiple battleships. They deliver a pleasing balanced program and consistently captivate sailors, becoming highly popular among New York entertainment offerings for the naval community.
The W C T U gathering at Miss R Ella Chamberlin’s home drew a good crowd. Mrs Wm F Perrine reported the State Convention while readings on Franchise urged equal voting rights for women. Readings included Why Doesn't Mother Vote and Give the Women a Square Deal.

Steinbachs marks its 45th annual opening tomorrow October sixteenth in Monmouth County. Since John Steinbach first opened the store the business has grown in appeal offering apparel for men women and children and a wide range of house furnishings and fancies. General election set for November 2, 1915 from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Hose House to choose state and local officials including State Senator, Assembly members, Freeholders, Coroner, Mayor, Councilmen, Assessor, Collector, and Highway Surveyors. A Special Election is planned for October 19, 1915 on amendments to the state constitution. The Board of Registry will meet October 26, 1915 from 1 to 9 p.m. to revise registers. P. J.
