Ninety Year Old Aunt Lydia Carhart Honored at Home

Mrs. Lydia Carhart known as Aunt Lydia celebrated her ninetieth birthday at her daughter’s home in Hightstown. She is the town’s oldest resident and longtime Methodist, recalling first locomotives and early Camden and Amboy Railroad cars. Her family notes her continued faculties despite illness.

Yard's Stores Close At 9 Pm Saturdays

To uphold the 10-hour law for women workers Yard's stores will close at 9 p m on Saturdays. Shoppers are urged to complete their purchases before nine.
