Elias D Applegate Dies After Long Railroad Career
Elias D. Applegate a carpenter on the Pennsylvania railroad for many years died at his home in South Amboy on a Saturday. The funeral was held Monday with interment in Brainerd Cemetery Cranbury. The Red Cross will hold weekly Thursday meetings at 7 80 oclock for girls fifteen and older to help. A Mass Meeting of the South Brunswick Local Option League is planned in Mechanics Hall Monmouth Junction on Tuesday May 14 at 8 oclock featuring the Carlisle-Pierpont wet and dry dialog debate with music by the Cranbury orchestra and speakers including Assemblyman Edgar and Rev W J B Edgar. Admission is free.
