Will Entertain This Evening

Mr and Mrs Walter Havens host a dinner this evening for guests Mr and Mrs John H Barclay Mr and Mrs H W Jeffers Mr and Mrs Spencer Perrine Mr and Mrs John B Perrine and Mr and Mrs H J Butcher. The J F F Club closes its season with Mr and Mrs John Bennett as guests and Easter themed refreshments tally cards and prizes. Leroy Scott won first prize and Franklin Bennett the consolation prize. Edward Walker was injured Saturday at a construction site near town breaking a collar bone and sustaining head injuries and remains under care with Dr Van Dyke. He will be off work for weeks.

Peddie Quartet to Perform at First Church Sunday Service

The First church will host the Peddie quartette next Sunday evening as a featured musical highlight following their prominence at Wednesday evening's entertainment.

Mr and Mrs J B Silvers Mrs E W Dunham of Trenton and Miss Georgia Nutt motored to Lakewood today to remain over Sunday in a weekend visit.

Grand Entertainment Plans By Library Association

At a Library Association meeting on Tuesday evening plans were set for a grand entertainment on Friday April 19 at the Second Presbyterian Church. Several fine musicians will be announced next week. Committees were appointed including General John Silvers and Mrs. Silvers, Social led by Mrs. S Johnes Bergen, Printing headed by Mrs. Geo. W. Burroughs, Piano with Mr. Emons and Mr. Silvers, Ushers list led by David C. Lewis Jr. and others.

Easter season at Asbury Park features Pryor's Band concerts

Asbury Park plans a festive Easter with Pryor's Band to perform twice daily at the Boardwalk casino from next Saturday through April 7. Soloists include Virginia Root of Pittsburgh and Cavanagh from Asbury Park with Dorothy Hoyle on violin. The rebuilt boardwalk opens with cement foundation, illuminated business district, beach front activities, and a board walk pool. About fifty hotels will host visitors as nearly a million dollars is spent on hotel upgrades with more improvements underway.

Annual Meeting of Village Improvement Society

The Village Improvement Society holds its annual meeting Monday evening April 1 at the Library building a quarter before seven. Officers will be elected and business transacted. At eight o'clock a popular meeting will follow in the Second Presbyterian chapel with addresses by Rev. W. P. Finney and Surrogate Daniel W. Clayton. Members and citizens urged to attend.
