Police Chief Stabbed During Arrest Attempt in Jamesburg
Chief of Police Gustav Fillhower was stabbed and fatally wounded by Nicholas Bosca during an arrest on threats to kill his wife. Bosca, 35, pulled a knife as officers arrived. County Physician Dr. John L. Suydam treated Fillhower at home before he rested. Bosca, jailed for further sanity examination, had previous involuntary hospital stays at the New Jersey State Hospital in Trenton.
