A Merry Christmas to All Honorary Obituary for Symmes H Bergen
Symmes H Bergen aged 73 died early Sunday morning at the home of Mr and Mrs Amzi A Duncan. He was to celebrate his 50th wedding anniversary on December 12 but illness postponed the event. Born at the Bergen homestead Cranbury Neck he moved to the historic family farm then to Trenton. He worked 25 years for American Steel and Wire Co retiring at 65. He leaves wife and brother Dr E H Bergen of Princeton. Funeral services were held under Mercer Lodge F and A M with Apollo Lodge assisting and burial at Princeton Cemetery.

Symmes Bergen's funeral was held Wednesday at the home of his brother in law Amzi A. Duncan. Rev. D. Wilson Hollinger of Bethany Church praised his Christian character. Mercer Lodge Masons and Bethany members attended, with floral tributes from Bethany branches, the Scottish Rite, and the family. Interment followed in Princeton.

Home Bureau Holds Annual Meeting in Dayton
The Home Bureau annual meeting convened December 13 at the Presbyterian Church Chapel in Dayton with 45 members from eleven communities. Officers for 1923 were elected, and sessions featured reports from county project leaders, nutrition discussions, a meal planning contest won by Kingston, and a joint evening program with speakers from New Jersey Agricultural College and the State Grange. About 125 attended the combined event and supper.
