Sunday School at 10 Morning Worship at 11 with a sermon by the pastor from Genesis and Psalm 16. A Westminster Circle gathering is set for Saturday afternoon December 16 at 2:30 at Mrs. Curry's home.
Morning worship at 11 o clock with a sermon on Waste that was Commended. 6 30 P M Epworth League topic The Anticipated Christ based on Mat 5 17 led by Mrs Schanck. Christmas exercises and cantata by the Sunday school Saturday evening December 23rd with frequent rehearsals and extensive preparations. 7 45 P M Thursday Prayer Meeting.
The congregation plans a Friday December 22 Christmas party with a Sunday School committee arranging details. A December 24 10 o'clock service and pageant Beyond Bethlehem with Miss M Anna Chamberlin and Mrs J E Chamberlin in charge. At 11 o'clock December 24 a Christmas Service in Song and Story The Littlest Son with reader Ms Arthur Clayton and musical parts arranged by Samuel E Bennett and Mrs Clarence M Perrine.

Dr Miller Royal Whitenack famed as a children disease specialist and called the miracle man died Tuesday at Presbyterian hospital Newark after a six week battle with blood poisoning. Transfusions failed to aid his condition. Born in Newark forty eight years ago he attended Newark High School graduated from Rutgers College in 1895 and later from the College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York.
Mr and Mrs Lemuel Stults were surprised at home last evening by siblings and relatives to mark their 46th wedding anniversary.
The First Presbyterian Sunday school announces a Christmas Party next Friday evening December 22 in the chapel. Committees named include Mrs. Lindsay Whitson Mrs. Arthur Clayton Miss Margaret H Perrine Miss Lucile Chamberlin Mrs. John Dorrance Mrs. Russell Johnson Mrs. Samuel Bennett Mrs. David J. The Stitch and Chatter Fair and Supper attracted despite bad weather. Over two hundred suppers were served and the club cleared about five hundred dollars. Booths were tastefully arranged and items sold quickly at good prices. Ladies receive hearty congratulations for the fine supper.
Tomorrow the Motor Truck Hose committee of the Cranbury Fire Company will canvass the community to raise about 600 dollars for a new truck. The ad urges every citizen to contribute, praising the volunteer department that answers calls regardless of weather or hour.
Mr and Mrs Hughes and their daughter Ruth with Miss Lillie Schenck escaped serious injury when their wagon was struck by an automobile driven by Raymond Dey along Perrine's woods while en route to Cranbury for the Stitch and Chatter fair. The wagon was damaged and towed home. Mrs Hughes suffered shock and injuries. the others were unharmed.
Christmas themed music will be performed at both Sunday services. In the morning Ora Bennett Grover Bennett and Charles Grover will sing as a trio. The evening service features the church choir performing two Christmas anthems.
A Westminster Circle of young girls at the First Church has organized and will meet for the first time on Saturday afternoon December 16 with Mrs J E Curry. Each meeting will include a devotional, a mission story, a social hour with games and light refreshments. The 1923 officers include President Alice Brown first vice president Carolyn Applegate second vice president Mary Perrine treasurer Rosella Perrine secretary Emma Bennett pianist Sara Bennett and patrons Miss Margaret Bergen and Miss Margaret Perrine. Meetings are at members homes on the second and fourth Saturdays each month. Committee members for the first meeting are Frances Stults Marion Clayton Alice Scott and Sara Bennett.
East Windsor Township and Hightstown Borough voters approved a 150000 school program by two to one. 780 ballots cast with 580 for and 197 against. The site will be the Job and Kothe tracts facing Stockton Street. seven acres donated for playgrounds aided the campaign.
Edward Voorhees and James R. Smith, cashiers at the First National Bank of English Town, were arrested in Newark on charges of embezzling $75,000. The pair allegedly used blank pages to falsify deposits, gradually increasing theft until a routine audit uncovered the scheme. Both are held in Newark street jail in $10,000 bail each, awaiting grand jury action.
A. Pardee, Princeton Class of 1897, donated 2000 birds and many skins to Princeton University for museum purposes. The collection includes birds from eastern North America Cuba Trinidad and western states plus about 40 mammal skins and equal number of mounted mammals. One notable specimen is an adult male passenger pigeon now extinct.
The fiftieth wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Symmes H. Bergen, to be celebrated at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Amzi A. Duncan, was canceled because of Mr. Bergen's critical condition after a Monday attack. He is slightly improved, with the couple long residents of Cranbury and Trenton, active in church and fraternal life, and the event postponed pending his recovery.
Cranbury Public School lists November Honor Roll pupils by year with names including Anna Schnell Marvin Vincent Edward Hickey Jacob Salmonsgin James Diker and others. Perfect attendance noted for November covers all years with numerous students named across eighth to first year grades.
Apollo Lodge No. 156 F and A M Cranbury is requested to attend the corner stone ceremony of the Highland Park Masonic Building in New Jersey tomorrow afternoon December 16 at 2 30 PM. The assembly point is the Masonic Temple on Remsen Avenue New Brunswick.
