Cranbury Firemen Answer Seven Alarms in Four Days
The Cranbury Fire Company responded to seven alarms over four days. Incidents included a blaze at T. M. Applegate's barns in Dayton, rubbish fires at Chamberlin & Barclay yard, a hay press fire in Hightstown, a chimney fire in South Cranbury, a woods fire near Pleasant Hill, and a total loss house fire at Jack Kropwskey in Applegarth. Firefighters and Hightstown and Princeton crews aided, while local residents praised their quick, risky work and urged support for equipment funding and patience with telephone operators.

Baremore reported over 7,000,000 dollars in shares, earnings above 8 percent for ten years, and strong governance. Officers elected included President William C. Tra B. Webb, listing Jersey City address, was arrested near Windsor after attempting to pass a bogus 45.80 check at Central garage. Bank officials in Jersey City alerted First National Bank, identifying Webb as wanted for similar scams. He was jailed in Middlesex County awaiting further action.
