Civic association planning meeting in Cranbury Inn plus country club outing at Seidler's Beach and Miss Perrine hosts a card party with guests in South Cranbury.
Mr and Mrs H N Scott Harold Scott and Mr and Mrs G B Mershon depart tomorrow by car for Mount Pocono then Niagara Falls Watkins Glen and Toronto, two weeks away. Harold Scott will leave at Hamilton NY to resume Sophomore football at Colgate University.
Miss Mildred Forman hosted friends at her South Cranbury home for an evening of cards and dancing. Attendees included Lucile Chamberlin Margaret Perrine Mary Symmes Edna Brown Grace Mershon Marian Barclay and many others from Cranbury Palisade Park Jamesburg and Hightstown.
The Cranbury Fire Company organizes a firemen parade at Red Bank on September 14 with Goodwins Band chosen to provide music. Fire Company members will visit residents next week to solicit contributions to cover the band hire.
A large army truck carrying ammunition from Camp Dix collided head on with a Chandler touring car driven by E. E. Stockton of Princeton at Main and Mercer Streets in Hightstown on Wednesday. The car was wrecked but no injuries were reported.

Swetland returns to Hightstown from vacation as work begins on a $200,000 administration building at Peddie Institute.
Three explosions shattered windows of three coaches on the Wee Hawken local as it crossed a culvert near Granton Junction on Sunday night. Ten passengers were injured, five seriously, as ambulances and police rushed to the scene while investigators searched for a three-man automobile left by the railroad.
A man was killed in an automobile crash near Cranbury on Saturday. Law enforcement seeks Italian suspect Lawrence Foreschee alias Joe Thompson and a Black woman.
