Princeton Professor's Daughter Dies After Yosemite Fall
Miss Elizabeth Jones daughter of Professor W. P. Jones of Princeton University died in Yosemite Valley when she slipped and fell into the Merced River. Her father, who accompanied her, narrowly avoided the same fate while attempting to rescue her.

Man Held on Manslaughter Charge After Roosevelt Car Crash
Andrew Christiansen of Roosevelt New Jersey faced Judge Daly on a 3000 bail set Monday for manslaughter in the death of Max Kaiek. The collision occurred on Pierce avenue Roosevelt Saturday night. A Roosevelt patrolman and Christiansen's wife were in the car. After taking Kaiek to Perth Amboy City Hospital where he died Christiansen surrendered to Police Chief Harrington.

Narrow escape for Henry W Brown in potato wagon mishap
Henry W Brown narrowly escaped serious injury while carting potatoes near the Brick yards. The wagon slipped into a ditch as he turned to avoid a truck, causing shoulder ligament tears and bruises. X rays showed no broken collarbone and he is not in serious condition.

Four Year Old Boy Killed In Auto Accident
Norman Breese four years old, son of Mr. and Mrs. Grover C Breese, near Dutch Neck, was crushed by his father's new Chevrolet sedan after sitting on the running board despite warnings. He died at St Francis Hospital in Trenton from internal injuries. The tragedy occurred Sunday afternoon as the father prepared to back the car, the child then being fatally injured. The bereaved family, with several other children, faced the loss.

Professor Albert Winkler a pioneer of high musical standards in Trenton died early Sunday at McKinley hospital after several weeks illness. He led bands for the Seventh and Second Regiments New Jersey National Guard and directed Cres cent Patrol concerts. He organized bands for S&J Michael's Orphanage Hopewell and composed march numbers including The Silver Jubilee and The Salute to Trenton.

Truck Driver Freed After Entanglement With Tree
Charles Fertitta 22 of Astoria was pinned between a heavy truck and a tree when the vehicle skidded off an embankment on the Bordentown to Columbus road. Firemen state police and Robbins garage workers used cables to steady the machine while the tree was felled to release him. He suffered a broken jaw and badly mashed arms with facial lacerations. He was en route to New York from Hammonton with a fruit-laden truck and the vehicle was badly damaged.
