Church Notes Reflect Easter Programs and Schedule Shifts
Rev. J B Clark of Dayton preaches at First Church next Sabbath morning. Evening sermon by Rev J E Curry on Gods Need of Men Ezekiel 22 80 with special music. Pastor Ebell preaches at 10 30 A M on Witnessing for Christ. Evening service 7 30 P M Temptation. Sunday school 2 30 P M. Thursday evening prayer meeting moved to Thursday from Friday at Second Presbyterian. Methodists keep Friday prayer meetings. Easter programs at First and Second Presbyterians feature choirs, solos, recitations, and class activities. Presbytery of Monmouth met in Red Bank with delegates from First and Second churches.

Lecture and social events at Second Presbyterian gather Bain
The Second Presbyterian church hosted a large audience last evening to welcome Col. George W. Bain with organ preludes hymns prayers and an address. Miss Elva M. Chamberlin hosted a Five Hundred party honoring Miss Bess Briedling with prizes for Eleanor Eldridge and Clifford Chamberlin. An eleventh wedding anniversary for Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Eppel of Plainsboro featured green and white decor and silver gifts. Richard Courtney’s accident at Windsor led to hospitalization and an operation at St. Francis Hospital. The Livingston Park Helping Hand Society will host April 18 at Union Valley Church for charity. The community extends thanks for support during Mrs. Grover’s illness and death.

Deaths and Masons: Wiley and Perrine Families and Plainsboro Council Installed
Miss Lydia Wiley died at Grover's Mills on Saturday April 6 at age 74 with funeral services from her brother Symmes Wiley. George Franklin Perrine infant son of Mr and Mrs Alfred Perrine died April 8 from spinal meningitis. interment at Dutch Neck follows a Wednesday April 10 service. Plainsboro Council No 299 Jr OA MTwas instituted April 9 in Plainsboro with State Secretary W H Meyer and 25 officers. 59 applicants received the degree and officers were installed followed by refreshments.

Grant Dies Suddenly Like His Father in New York
General Frederick Dent Grant died suddenly at the Hotel Buckingham after midnight from heart failure linked to diabetes and digestive disturbances. His father Ulysses S. Grant died in 1885 in the same manner, also suddenly. Proceeds from a library concert fund raise aid the Public Library.
