Charley Ristine aged 71, born January 8 1849 in Covington Indiana, died August 20 in Louisville Kentucky after years of asthma and heart trouble. He moved to Louisville fourteen years ago, supported himself despite blindness from cataracts, and passed away peacefully at home after a severe asthma spell. He was the youngest son of Judge Joseph and Sarah Prebble Ristine.

Col. C. W. Smith sold all buildings and property of the Richland Township Live Stock and Agricultural Association at the fair grounds last Saturday. Proceeds were a little over 857. The Newtown fair served the community for over twenty years, but is now dead and buried despite the benefit it gave.
