James A. Sanders died Friday at his home near the city after a prolonged cancer battle. Born November 23, 1841 in Pike County, he was 67 years 10 months and 22 days old. Survived by widow Manda C., sons David W. and Leroy, daughter Mrs. Robert Banta, and another daughter Mrs. Susie Gray who died earlier. A respected Mason and former township trustee, he lived in Jackson Township before moving to Covington nine years ago. Funeral at Lutheran church near Wallace with Wallace Lodge honoring him.
