River Country RC&D Faces Budget Cuts in Education Program
State officials narrowed funding to seven of sixteen proposed RC&D projects raising threat to River Country RC&D education and information work led by Doug Sorenson. Despite cuts, top River Country projects include Red Cedar River streambank stabilization and Cameron Flowage works with cooperation from Dunn, Barron, and Eau Claire counties, plus a $120,000 RC&D loan approved for Elk Lake rehabilitation.
