Surplus cheese butter to reach Wisconsin in December
Wisconsin will receive about 1.3 million pounds of cheese and 768,000 pounds of butter from the Commodity Credit Corp for distribution to low income residents in December. The plan, announced by DATCP Secretary La Verne Ausman at a state board meeting in Eau Claire, marks the first USDA butter distribution in the state.
