National Lamb and Wool Show set for June 5 6
The 17th annual National Lamb and Wool Show will be held June 5 and 6 at the Expo Building on the W H Lyon Fairground in Sioux Falls South Dakota. Nearly 1 000 head of sheep are expected for the two day event with divisions for carcass lambs progeny pens market rams junior derby trucklot central test fleeces and more. Clark County 4-H Dairy Judging Contest March 28
The 1981 Clark County 4-H dairy judging contest will be held March 28 at 1 p.m. at the Clark County Health Care Center farm two miles east of Owen on Hwy. 29. Participants will judge four cattle classes and teams will be formed for training sessions. A final team advances to district dairy day in Menomonie on June 24. Coaches are Dave Capelle and Debbie Craig. Three west central Wisconsin dairymen join the Tri-State Breeders Co-op board of directors, including James Brunner as treasurer and Rudy Christ and Ed Gearing named to the executive board.
