Eau Claire County Fair Commission names officers

The Eau Claire County Fair Commission selected Karen Severson as chairman and Dorothy Linse as vice chair. The 11 member panel, created to replace the old committee, will plan the junior fair and manage the fairground, with authority to accept donations and establish a non lapsing county account. A new arena coliseum study by the Industrial Development Agency may influence relocation plans.

Buffalo County farmer wins court judgment in grain bin case

A Buffalo County farmer, Timothy J. O’Neill, won a judgment against the Henry Hofland Co. of Menomonie for defects in a grain bin on his Mondovi farm. The court limited the owed balance to $3,229 of the $18,352 claimed, and ordered a new concrete floor and exterior fan pads.
