Council backs RC&D plan for nine county consultant forester
River Country RC&D endorses creating a consultant forester position for Barron Chippewa Clark Dunn Eau Claire Pepin Pierce Polk and St Croix counties funded 80 percent by federal RC&D dollars and 20 percent by state or county sources. The role aims to assist private landowners and advance area wood resources with a 1300 acre woodland planting goal and studies on wood fuel and conifer plantations.
