RC&D backs Spring Valley watershed demonstration project
The River Country RC&D plans an erosion-control flood-control and water-quality demo on a 150 to 200 acre watershed feeding Eau Galle River at Spring Valley. Estimated tile outlet terracing costs run about 800 per acre with cost-shares and landowner investment around 4 percent, while other RC&D efforts include Elk Creek Elk Lake dredging and Willow River studies across Chippewa Dunn Eau Claire and St Croix counties.
