People For Martell push gains on compensation efforts
More than 1,000 policyholders of the defunct Martell Town Mutual gathered in Baldwin to press for full repayment of the second assessment, monitor lawsuits, and support legal actions against state officials and others linked to the insurer’s collapse. The meeting eyed delaying penalties, funding a watchdog attorney, and coordinating with judge Bartholomew to accelerate settlement and claim distributions.
