Chetek wind project aims to power farm with wind system
Dr. Fred Bannister of Chetek, a medical clinic physician and farmer, leads Wind Power Systems Inc. to promote Jacobs 8-10 kilowatt wind machines in western Wisconsin and eastern Minnesota. The 23-foot blade spans a 100-foot tower, with power output projected at 1000 to 2000 kilowatt hours per month and full payback in seven to 11 years via tax credits and electricity savings.
