Meeting on dairy compromise bill at American Legion Hall
A special meeting to explain the new dairy compromise bill will be held at the American Legion Hall at 1:30 p.m. on December 20. Clark County Farm Management Agent Vic Wagner notes Dr. Bob Cropp of UW Platteville will discuss plan aspects while Clark County ASCS staff explain paid diversion participation. The meeting is open to the public.

911 System Brings Emergency Access to Local Calls
General Telephone Company of Wisconsin customers in Fall Creek Augusta and Cleghorn began receiving 911 links to fire police and rescue agencies after Eau Claire County Board authorized the plan in June. A monitor-dispatch center operated by the county law enforcement office handles all calls and public phones will accept 911 without coin deposits.

Buffalo County Co-op Elects Officers at Annual Meeting
Alma Ed Hange Mondovi was elected a director of the Buffalo County Association of Cooperatives at the annual meeting. Harlen Plett Gilmanton was elected president, Richard Hammelman Waumandee vice president, and Normal Schaffner Cochrane re elected secretary treasurer.
