Wisconsin board studies recreation use on farmland parcel
The Wisconsin Land Conservation Board directed DATCP staff to draft guidelines to let Trempealeau County farmer Roy Solberg retain certain recreational events on 3 percent of his 475 acre farm without losing the farmland preservation contract. After river bottom concerts and festivals drew up to 6,000 attendees, officials warned the use violated terms, leaving two options: relinquish the contract or seek non agricultural use approval.
