Jackson fair milk parlor opens at 114th Jackson County Fair
Reviews of the 114th Jackson County Fair were complimentary with one exception as nearly 900 entered exhibits. A four unit milking parlor was built by 15 dairymen and a carpenter for about 4000 dollars, with 2000 from the county board and rest donated. The South Alma Cheese Factory processed 700 pounds first day and 1500 second day. First user was Vince Ruzic. The system saved food by directing non blue ribbon entries to use or be sold. The fair drew 187 open class exhibitors and about 700 junior entrants. One steer was ruled ineligible after a dispute over ownership and origin.
