Mondovi Fair Sees 25 000 Attend 2718 Exhibits
Buffalo County 4 H agent Dick Waak reported the Buffalo County Free Fair drew about 25 000 attendees from 2718 exhibits. Livestock dominated entries with grand champions in beef, hogs, sheep and swine market sales. Inside space sold out for commercial displays and a new activities building kept crowds moving through a busy weekend of judging, auctions and awards.

Pierce County grants two $200 Farm Short Course scholarships
Pierce County residents may receive two $200 scholarships for the UW Madison Farm Short Course for 1978 79. The Pierce St Croix County Bankers Association funds the awards. The 15 week program covers crop production horticulture mechanics accounting dairying and livestock. Deadline is September 1. Consult county bankers voag instructors or the extension office for details.
