Public meeting on New Auburn Wildlife Area master plan set
A public meeting will be held in the New Auburn bank building at 8 p.m. on April 14 to gather comments on the DNR master plan for the New Auburn Wildlife Area. Comments accepted through April 24 by attending the meeting or mailing to John Porter, DNR Wildlife Manager, 311 S. La Salle, Barron WI 54812. Porter will review the plan at the meeting. The St. Croix National Scenic Riverway opens its seasonally operated facilities from April 11 to May 2, with the Grantsburg information station opening weekends from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and the Trego station beginning May 2. both run Saturdays and Sundays through May 24, then daily through September.
