He was born December 21 1869 in Tuscara township and educated at Wright Miller Barnes and Keene schools then Cincinnati College of Medicine earning his MD in 1897. He practiced in Keene 49 years and served as county health commissioner 11 years. Survived by his wife Cynthia Shannon, whom he married November 18 1902, and two nephews and one niece. one son and one brother preceded him in death.
