Operators Seek Conference After Sealed Reply
Wilkesbarre Pennsylvania January 8 a meeting of the individual operators association was held at the city called by President H H Ashley. About ten men representing many operators in the anthracite region attended. Speckman Dies by Drowning at Goodale Park Lake
George Speckman a Columbus telegraph operator age about 41 ended his life Monday afternoon by drowning in the Goodale park lake while suffering a nervous affliction. He had been admitted to the Protestant hospital Saturday and escaped a window briefly before drowning. He leaves a widow and brother in law Roy Speckman. Funeral services are set for tomorrow at his residence and burial at Greenlawn cemetery.
