Court Tuesday saw a slow jury selection for the Ben Dickerson trial as lawyers probe each candidate. Judges and attorneys clash over cause challenges while jurors concede reading about the case in The Age. The process continues with potential sensational testimony expected once evidence begins. The report lists jurors including Jacob Crile Crawford W R Crooks Monroe L F Kreider Virginia J lL Whiteside Oxford Wm McCune Oxford and William McCune who had read crime coverage in The Age. Colopy was questioned excused and the court noted no opinion from him. Elias N Coe of Coshocton was also considered and hesitated.

Coshocton County story notes Grace Crile wife of Dr Genwrile was arrested for a traffic ordinance violation in Thorpe Friday afternoon. Mayor Tom ordered action reexamining the case as Chief Kohlard Thorpe faced police prosecutors. Baker called the case technical and claimed the driver was properly warned.
The Coghoeron Tea m Cold Storage company will double its capacity as warm weather approaches to meet the ice cream season. A contract was placed with York Mix Co of York Pennsylvania to install a fifteen ton plant with new purifiers. Machines are due by late May and running by June 1. The building will be enlarged to house the extra equipment. Hq Pratt left for Louisville to attend a national event. Angel Bros plan remodeling in the Balch block with a new tenant by March 1.
Jurors slept through the night under sheriff and deputy guard after a brief walk and supper at a local hall. Sheriff Browning paced the corridor while Deputy Wiggins stayed on duty, as jurors rested in rooms nearby.
President Roosevelt acts as peace broker between coal miners and operators. He letters John Mitchell urging effort to avert an April 1 strike in the bituminous field. Mitchell announces a national miners convention for March 15 in Indianapolis to pursue settlement with soft coal operators.
Samuel Frye William Mullett and Noah Miller all 16 of Shanesville Ohio confessed to Mayor Bartholomew that they and eleven other boys formed an organized gang responsible for many store thefts in Shanesville Baltic and Sugar Creek over the past six months.
Constable Zinken arrived in the city Monday night with a prisoner named Smith, a coal miner, who had been brought from Baltic to answer a charge of jumping. The pair rode Panhandle No. 20 to the city, then left for Baltic on the morning Wheeling today. John Strome went to Warsaw today and Mrs John McNary departed for West Lafayette for a short visit.
