Indiana American Legion State Convention at Terre Haute
The Indiana State Convention of the American Legion met in Terre Haute over three days. Delegates from Harrison Post 123 Corydon attended along with leaders Ruskin Rowe and others. about 5000 soldiers and many Auxiliary members joined speakers Brigadier General Edward M. Lewis and National Commander How ard MecNider. Perry Faulkner was elected State Commander and Chas Ainot First Vice Commander. The 1923 convention will be in Michigan City in August with dates moved earlier for Lake Michigan bathing. The convention supported a Bonus Bill but did not address Mlurding's veto.

Tom Harper Loses Right Hand In Farm Shredder
Thomas Harper of Corydon lost his right hand Monday when it was mangled by a corn shredder at Frank Faith’s farm ten miles southwest of Corydon. The amputation went to the elbow at St Edward’s Hospital New Albany after surgery Monday night. He is survived by a wife and baby and is described as an industrious young man.

Accident injures Arch and Victoria Askren near Corydon
Mr and Mrs Arch Askren suffered serious injuries when their car fell over a hill after a radius rod broke on the pike east of Corydon near Argo place. Mrs Askren sustained a severe head wound and hip injury while Mr Askren received lesser bruises. They were treated at Bruch’s home then taken to Mrs Schaffer’s residence. Mrs Askren was formerly Victoria Conrad of White Cloud.
