Death of Prominent Citizen Thomas W Knight
Thomas W. Knight died at his Webster township home from heart trouble after a months illness. He was sixty five next October 14 and served two terms as Posey County Treasurer. Knight was a lifelong Posey resident, active in the Methodist church and I O O F lodge. He leaves a wife, three children, three grandchildren and several siblings. Funeral services conducted by Rev Moore included church and Odd Fellows tributes, with burial at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Mr and Mrs Lew M O Bannon their son Robert and daughter Miss Lillian Miss Rose Keller Mr and Mrs Frank Jordan and daughter Miss Ruth toured West Baden and French Lick last Sunday praising the hotels grounds and recent improvements They visited a dairy farm run by Thonfiss Taggert proprietor of the French Lick Springs Hotel noting tame birds and squirrels They traveled via Corydon Junction Central Barren Palmyra Kiedeevksburg Heardinshburg Rezo Chambersburg and Paoli finding roads generally good with the Corydon to Palmyra stretch only fair On return they called on Judge and Mrs Phomes Buskirk in Paoli Mrs Buskirk formerly Viola Bines of Coryden Judge Buskirk once resided in a sixteen room house The visit included letters and a Navy souvenir frame containing two official notes and $1 drafts from Assistant Secretary Roosevelt for binoculars loaned during WWI.

Jacie Beatrice Shireman, aged fourteen, died October 6 1922 after a bright life with family care at home. Funeral at Oak Grove led by Rev. J. G. Moore. pallbearers were six young ladies.
