German Sees World War Dream Revealed by Navy Officer

Senator Lewis relayed a 1898 Manila report from Captain Von Goetz claiming Germany planned a world conquest for control of Europe and the Americas. The warning said Paris first, then New York and Washington, with Monroe Doctrine discarded and South America under German influence. He urged patriotism and condemned opponents of the war as enemies.

Death claimed Rose Stonecipher on August 24 1917 at age 24 with husband two daughters Mildred and Mary Evelyn and her parents four siblings left to mourn. Funeral at U B church Corydon with Rev Fouts burial in Jordan's cemetery. Family laments and prayers follow in a memorial verse.

Brengman and Wiedert Wed in Aurora Catholic Ceremony

Brengman Charles Brengman and Miss Teresa Wiedert, popular Aurora residents, wed at St Marys Catholic Church in Aurora on September 12. They will travel first to Corydon to visit relatives before continuing to Mt Vernon then home. Charles is a car builder, son of Mrs Anna Brengman, who lived near Nevin until four years ago.
