Thirty-One Harrison County Boys Leave for Camp Zachary Taylor

A crowd of about three thousand gathered in Corydon to bid farewell to thirty-one Harrison county youths heading to Camp Zachary Taylor near Louisville. The group, part of a draft, departed after a ceremony at the courthouse with speeches, music, and prayers. County officials coordinated transport while local groups provided support, including drinking cups for the road. The event drew praise for civilian and veteran unity and urged continued home-front sacrifice as more soldiers are called.
