Corydon Says Goodbye to Harrison County’s Fifty Eight Recruits
The Corydon community sent off fifty eight drafted Harrison county young men to Camp Zachary Taylor Louisville amid a sea of rain soaked crowds. With schoolchildren led by teachers and veterans present, the farewell featured prayers speeches by Judge Ridley and Mr Wilson, and two Corydon Sailor Boys bearing flags. Citizens pledged support and urged swift national effort as more may follow on October 3 and 8.
