Cold days drive demand for updated footwear and weatherproof coats. Uppers wear thin and old suits go out of style, with form fitting overcoats now 44 to 48 inches. West Creations emphasizes quality, low prices, and timely stock before it sells out.
The ad highlights men's trousers with a strong line of tailored pants at low prices and mentions special bargains. It presents multiple flyers and vague filler text suggesting a sale and promotional efforts.
Rev. John Treloar died at his Monte Vista home on Saturday evening November 3 after a long illness. Born in Cornwall England he was 37 and came to America in 1883. He arrived in Monte Vista in July 1905 and had previously lived in Minnesota Indiana and California. Funeral services were held Monday at the Christian church with Rev. Leonard G Thompson and others officiating and music by the church choir.
The Corydon Canning Company handled over 20 000 bushels of tomatoes and 1000 barrels of apples last season and produced four carloads of finished goods distributed among farmers. The plant expects to process 500 acres of tomatoes in 1907 as a permanent local enterprise. Also noted is a family health testimonial for Electric Bitters and an advertisement for a gasoline engine by V H Buellit & Son.
Those born who answered the March call must bring ten ears of corn for scoring by the Indiana score card. The Indiana corn growers association president will award 1st to 4th premiums. Harrison County Agricultural Association offers $10 in four prizes. Exhibits must be home grown and may use one helper. Bring to the Farmers Institute at Corydon on December 10, 1906.
Rev James A Lewis Milaca Minnesota pastor endorses Chamberlains Cough Remedy praising its reliability. He notes it helps with croup and whooping cough and states it is sold by L A Riley Son druggists. The note also advertises Thanksgiving cake and bread from the Ladies Aid.
The Indiana docket shows guilty pleas for Oscar Thompson and Ford McMonigle, fines of 1 and 5 dollars, and various cases including petit larceny, bastardy, assault, and continued hearings. An ad promotes Kodol for indigestion and animal feed supplies from W. H. Bullett & Son.
Miss Annie Polen of New Albany aged 25 died after taking calomel and eating pickles at a later meal. She was ill and took nine grains of calomel, then swallowed pickles within an hour, salivating and growing worse despite treatment. Her body swelled and her head had to be bandaged to prevent her eyeballs from protruding.
An advertising column argues that mer cerized cotton fabrics weaken character and efficiency, insisting all wool is superior. It touts Hart Schaffner & Marx garments as fully wool and reliable, claiming their name guarantees quality. It closes with a sales pitch from The Arcade in Uranienburg, Kentucky.
Rehoboth townsfolk report illnesses with Mrs. Mary Funk and Miss Cora Stevens on the sick list. Wm Minter bought James Dowdle s farm and David Conner considers relocating. Claude McIntire oversees school progress while Harve Dowdle and Mr Mrs George Baily visit from New Albany. Andrew Bowman, Claude McIntire, Frank Anderson and Claude Ashton visited nearby. Laconia boys rode through Friday to Mt Vernon pie supper.

W H Bullett and Son announce receipt of a car load of oil meal oyster shell grit ground bone and meat meal for agricultural and farming use. The delivery expands feed supplement options for area farmers and ranchers.
