Sudden Death of Mrs Ben Dobson in Mauckport
Mrs. Ben Dobson of Mauckport Ind died after a heart attack Tuesday night. Her husband Captain Dobson and son Roy Dobson were with her as she was taken to Madison hospital and then burial plans were made in Mauckport Corydon and M EK church. The 67 year old widow leaves a brother Theodore Foster of Mauckport and a sister Mrs F. Foster. Funeral services conducted by Rev Prop sitor were held.

Death of Mrs. Lelia Smith at Dugger
Mrs. Lelia Smith wife of Alvin Smith died Tuesday May 23 after brief illness at 1 a m in Dugger. She was 35 years 8 days old. The body was taken to Corydon and lay in state at Milton Smith’s home before funeral services at Fairview Wednesday afternoon. Burial followed in the church cemetery. Rev J H Toombs officiated. She was a daughter of David Stonecipher and wife deceased and survived by two sisters and four brothers.

Horse Incident Injures Boone Man During Ride
James Ellis son of Mrs Elizabeth Ellis of Boone township was injured when thrown from a horse last Saturday night. He was returning from Laconia when the horse frightened at sheep and pitched him, knocking out five teeth and bruising him considerably. The horse was also thrown when entangled in the bridle but was not seriously hurt.

Death claims well known physician in Corydon
Dr. Harvey S. Wolfe died shortly after 1 PM on May 30 at the home of his granddaughter Mrs. Ben S. Applegate on North Market street Corydon after weeks of illness. He practiced medicine in Corydon for years and later in New Albany after moving there thirty six years ago. He served as editor of the Corydon Democrat while his brother owned the paper. He was nearly 90, survived only by his granddaughter. Burial will be in Cedar Hill cemetery after funeral at the Applegate home conducted by Rev. T Terhune.

Barn Fire Destroys Farm Structure and Contents

The Gas Company uses three inch pipe for the final two miles to Corydon to reach the May 15 deadline for barbecue gas. Two welder crews replace three inch with four inch pipe this week. Richard O Kinzer, eleven months old, son of Mr and Mrs William Kinzer of Boone Township, died last Sunday night at six o clock from measles and pneumonia. Burial was Monday at Rehoboth. He is survived by his parents three sisters three brothers one half sister and four half brothers.
