Harrison Township Commencement Held at Grade School
The Harrison Township public school commencement took place Saturday evening May 26 1928 at eight o'clock in the Grade School Auditorium. Rev J T Toombs gave the invocation and Benediction, L A Stone delivered the commencement address, and Supt J T McClaren presented the diplomas. The American Legion Orchestra provided music as twenty nine graduates and a list of named students were honored.

Railroad Crossing Committee Plans Action on Elimination
The general committee selects several dates to seek removal of two dangerous railroad crossings on the State Trheway between New Albany and Edwardsville. Officials from the Railway Company and State Highway Commission will meet with the committee next Saturday to fix a date and visit the sites. Members include Judge John H. Weathers, Mayor Robert W. Morris, John T. Mitchell, Frank McCal Loveh, Col E B Vernon Knight, and Frank Self plus Lew M. O’Bannon.

Mrs Ball Dies After Long Illness at 46
Mrs. Christine Ball wife of Creorge Tall died early Saturday after several years of suffering at the family home in Paoli. She was 46 years old and respected by all who knew her. The funeral was held Saturday afternoon at 2 o 6 from the Baptist church, services conducted by Rev PF Allen, followed by burial in the cemetery. She is survived by her husband. Mr Ball was born and reared at Corvden with relatives in the area.

George Crosier Disabled by Foot Injury
George Crosier remains seriously crippled after a foot injury. He underwent foot surgery by Dr. Frank Zierccaed in Guvilst, and now hopes to recover enough to walk unaided. Crosier’s health affected his ability to perform official duties and speak publicly.

Mrs Delia Ditto of West Point Kentucky dies at her daughter's home on May day aged about seventy two. She is survived by her daughter Mrs Bill Witte of Louisville. Funeral arrangements were to be announced by Prof J Geo Keates.

William Redden died at his home in Washington township near New Amsterdam at nine Monday morning after a period of poor health. He was a Civil War veteran and in his eightieth year. He is survived by son Charles, daughter Mrs Geo Fleshman, eleven grandchildren and three brothers Robert Charles and Maso Redden. He belonged to the United Brethren church and was noted as a good Christian man.

Tragic New Albany Fire Claims 13 Year Old Victim
Dorothy J. Curts, 13, died after her skirt caught fire while she washed her face at home on Sixth Street. Firefighters and neighbors provided aid, but she suffered fatal burns covering her body. Mrs. Ann and Mrs. Jefferson Salesian assisted as the blaze was extinguished.

Lightning Fatality Strikes In Floyd County Field
In Floyd county a 37 year old man identified as Bass Hodge died after a severe storm. He lived with Asa Toops since childhood and worked on Toops farm with Chester Toops during the fatal event. They sought shelter in a barn as hail and rain erupted. Funeral for Hodge held at Antioch church in Floyd county on Tuesday.

Boy Crushed After Hoping Ride Causes Tragic Accident
A 10 year old boy, Robert Bers ey, died when he was struck by a truck driven by Frederick Wolpert in Louisville. The incident occurred near Eighteenth Street and Porte Tapd Avenue after the boy jumped onto a passing truck from a hop ride. Wolpert, 25, was arrested and later released after authorities determined he was not at fault.
