William Weaver, Civil War veteran, died suddenly at his home after a day in the garden. Funeral services were held at Corydon United Brethren church with burial in Cedar Hill cemetery. Survived by a widow, four children, six grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. born November 29, 1840 in Harrison County Indiana and served in Company D 12th Cavalry 131st Regiment.

In Harrison circuit court last Wednesday the Blue River township turkey dispute ended with Lonnie Dean winning the gobbler and one cent damages. A six woman jury, led by forewoman Laura Miller, found for Dean after the change of venue from Blue River township. Civil actions may be tried by juries fewer than twelve if both sides agree.

Two Men Hurt In Auto Crash East Of Lanesville
Sam Miller and C. T. Byrne of this place sustained injuries on May 16 when their car overturned east of Lanesville after the steering gear locked. Traveling at 25 to 30 miles per hour, the vehicle slid 25 to 30 feet with both men trapped underneath. both suffered badly bruised right shoulders with possible fractures.
