Miss Adelaide D Vorak from Cleveland Ohio performs special platform in front of the Grand Stand with elaborate costumes and all new dances on skates. She is a member of the Legion at her home city and comes highly recommended.
Cecil Littell son of Mr and Mrs Walter Littell of Rolla Kansas has spent three weeks visiting relatives in McLean and Bloomington Illinois Louisville Kentucky and Corydon He left for Chicago Monday seeking employment His parents own three quarter sections of land in Southwest Kansas Mr and Mrs John McClaren and relatives from Louisville visited at Tom McClaren's home and laid flowers on Cedar Hill Cemetery graves.
A crowd in Edinburgh saw two games, one against Harrison Post and another versus Standard Sanitary Co. Louisville. Flannigan struck out ten in seven strong innings to pace a 7 0 win for Youngstown and Clarence Smith held the line in a 10 to 4 Decoration Day victory for the locals over Standard SanitaryCo.
Mr. Edward E. Graviss and his sister with relatives from Louisville visited their old home near New Middletown last Sunday. They traveled in Graviss car. their father Victor Graviss, age 92, remains in Louisville. It was Graviss’ first Corydon visit in fifteen years. he now runs a grocery business at 8th and York.

Memorial Day observances were held Monday across Corydon Elizabeth New Salisbury and other locales with veterans parades graveside ceremonies and music. Civil War veterans and local fraternal groups led services including a notable tribute at Corp Ray Stevens grave with taps and a firing salute.
Auditing committee reports on hand funds from May 16 1920 totaling 747.41 with total receipts of 20 623.68 and disbursements of 19 187.87 leaving 1 435.81 on hand as of May 15 1921. A note for 1400.00 dated January 1920 financed a new switchboard. A R McRae served as president and S D Breeden as secretary.
Mrs Mary McFarland aged about eighty died last Monday afternoon at the home of her brother Robert McFarland in Webster township. An extended obituary will be printed next week.
The Blue River Valley Grange announces an ice cream supper at the Sonner School house in Scott township next Saturday night June 4. Proceeds will aid the Grange. The public is cordially invited.
Miss Geth Best, ten year old daughter of Mr and Mrs William E Best of Heth township, died suddenly at home from throat trouble. Survived by parents two brothers Daniel and Seth and three sisters Hazel Joy and Fern and grandfather Benjamin Pindell. Funeral at Mt Zion United Brethren church Mauckport conducted by Rev C H Youngblood with burial in church cemetery. Carrie O Bannon returned home to New Albany after visiting local daughters Roy LaHue and Nellie Bullett.
Harrison Township dog owners who have not paid the dog tax are warned to pay within ten days. If unpaid, the trustee Dan F. Stauth will provide the delinquent list to the Prosecuting Attorney for prosecutions as required by law.
The writer recalls meeting Prof Philip M Hoke of Hayworth Illinois while he attended his mother's funeral at Rogers Camp Ground. A leading Illinois educator, Hoke has led Hayworth public schools for three years and his wife and daughter also teach. The two men shared boyhood days in Taylor township and mutual schooling.

W H Keller Sr announces candidacy for treasurer of the Eureka Telephone Company. He notes prior service in the role and says he will continue the current work and pay level if elected at the annual meeting in Corydon next Saturday June 4.
A three year old mare, winner of two ribbons at Harrison County Fair last year, is to be sold at John L. Windhell's sale near Valley City on Friday June 10. The notice lists June 1 to 27 as sale period.
