Leading farmer Jap Turley dies after week of illness
Jap W. Turley aged 55 died at his home on State Highway two and a half miles east of Corydon after a week with pneumonia. He was Harrison County leader in farming organizations and held posts in the Farm Federation and Farm Loan Association. Survived by wife Sallie Erstine and nine children, with several siblings and grandchildren. Funeral at Pfrimmer's Chapel U B Church Wednesday at 2 PM conducted by Rev. M C Patterson.

Road Change Case Goes To Trial In Evans Landing Area
The Q T Berry et al lawsuit over a road change in the Evans Landing and New Albany area, crossing Harris Colvin and Clarence Colvin farms, opened before Judge James W Fortune last Monday. The court limited witnesses to twenty per side. remonstrants seek damages and the main questions are public utility and, if so, damages payable. The trial is expected to take several days.
